American Shifter Replacement Shift Cable for American Shifter Kits
Cable is made of hardened steel with a plastic outer sleeve and machined aluminum connector bracket. Total length is 29” and fit’s shifters with a maximum of 23” cable.

Note: Item is 28 1/2 inches long by 3/8 inches wide. Normal installation requires a cut 11/16 to 1 inch above handle.
TO CUT THE CABLE TO LENGTH
Precisely Cutting the cable on the shifter is a snap to do using a number 2 pencil. insert the N0. 2 pencil into the threaded portion of the shift knob eraser first until it pushes against the back side of the button. Score a line into the pencil at the bottom of the shift knob. Screw the jam nut onto the shift arm all the way and back back off 1/2 turn. Install the shift arm onto the cable. Line the mark in the pencil up with the top of the jam nut and cut the cable off even with the end of the eraser.
