American Shifter’s handbrakes offer superior performance with a classic modern design. Each handbrake features a chrome steel handle, heat treated ratcheting cut gear & lock, and a machined push button with 4 optional color accent rings.
American Shifter’s transmission mount emergency hand brake sports a long 16” handle with inner bushing to eliminate unwanted rattling & road noise. Installation is made simple with a 2 point mounting system that allows for direct floor, side, or custom mounting.

Can this be mounted with the American Shifter shifter kit setup that bolts up to the transmission?
Yes! Our transmission mount emergency brakes were designed for this. The transmission mounted-brake will work on any American Shifter kit.
How long is the handle?
