Brody Knobs work great for drivers who have mobility issues, physical conditions or a handicap. If you have a hard time doing a hand over hand motion on a steering wheel, a steering wheel knob can be helpful. They are great for tight corners or parking or if you need to keep one hand on your shifter while steering with the other. They are beneficial for heavy automobiles without power steering systems.

Brody knobs are also great for semi-trucks, forklifts, farm tractors, construction equipment, riding lawnmowers and ice resurfacers where frequent sharp turning is required. They can even be beneficial for boats.

• Adjustable Position Brody Knob Adapter (ASCAD06) fits all steering wheels with a 1-1/2 inch minimum diameter.

1. Thread shift knob onto brody knob adapter (if not already installed).

If you are looking for an adapter that you can fold down and out of the way when not using, then our 2 Position Adjustable Adapter (ASCAD06) is recommended.

However, our 1 Position Power Grip Adapter (ASCAD01) is easiest to install, has better grip and less wobble. This adapter does not include a shift knob, providing the option to customize your vehicle with your preferred shift knob design.

While no U.S. state has a law that bans the use of a brody knob on a privately owned car, some city laws regulate their use. It’s a good idea to check your local municipality’s rules and regulations.

If you drive a commercial or construction vehicle, you should check with your employer to ensure they don’t have any rules against using a steering knob.

Yes, brody knobs are safe and can even improve safe driving especially for drivers with mobility issues, physical conditions or a handicap.

Be aware, to someone inexperienced using a steering knob that letting go of the steering wheel after going around a corner, the wheel can spin rapidly and the knob can hit a user’s knuckles, forearm or elbow (hence the name knuckle buster). A long sleeve shirt can also hang up on the knob if not careful.
